the
common action free school is an on-going, informal learning network that
focuses on education and skill sharing among people of all ages. the boundaries
between students, teachers, and organizers are consciously blurred in an open
structure that encourages self-reliance, critical consciousness and community
building.
we meet every other week to plan upcoming classes and events. our planning meetings are currently held every other Wednesday at 6 pm at the coffeehouse & deli, 114 e. beaufort street, normal, illinois, (sometimes our meetings are held in the basement) and are open to anyone who wants to get involved. our next meetings will be June 6 and 20. see you there!

- Tues. 5/22, Guerrilla Garden, at the corner of Main and Market in downtown Bloomington. [Learn community gardening techniques together. Beautify, Uplift, Grow!]
- Wed. 5/23, Ants & Organization, a talk on organizing with Daniel Estrada (Part 1) - 6pm, in the basement of the Coffeehouse in Normal. [Crazy awesome and intellectually stimulating ideas about organizing that Daniel will share with us.]
- Thurs. 5/24, Organization & Consensus, a talk on organizing with Daniel Estrada (Part 2) - 6pm, in the basement of the Coffeehouse in Normal. [Seriously, Daniel will open your third eye.]
- Sun. 5/27, Spanish/English Conversation Class - 5pm, 510 E. Washington St. in Bloomington. [A low key, no pressure time to practice your Spanish or English with others.]
